Monthly Progress Reports
June 2025
Work continues to progress at the site of the future Cell Signaling at the Old Quarry. Installation of the extensive site drainage system is ongoing with about 60% of the underground structures and conveying piping installed. The waterlines, which loop around the entire site are almost complete. The main roadway entrance, which brings visitors from Atwater up to the new building entry has been established. At the building site itself, work progresses on exposing the vertical face of the granite cliff which was lined drilled to allow the 3 story lower portion of the building to nestle into the rock face at a height of almost 40 feet. Work continues with the delicate procedure of removing the rock at the inside corner for the building by drilling a series of holes to allow the rock to be removed without disturbing the adjoining rock features, preserving the natural rock edifice which will be a feature of the finished product.
Offsite, our landscape team is in the process of selecting the large trees and plantings which will be installed later this year along the elevated berms developed on the north side of the site creating a natural barrier to the abutters. June will be a very busy month as we expect to complete rock removal at the building footprint, complete the waterline loop, and start the development of the rain gardens and detention basins
